1905 Bayonets - Designed to replace the awkward "Rod" bayonet of the original 1903 rifle.  These bayonets are made from high quality steel with wood grips.  They are of the earlier pre war pattern which is very prevalent in war time photos, and feature a bright steel blade, blued handle, and walnut finish grips.  This bayonet fits perfectly in our scabbards sold above, but may require some fitting to go on your rifle.  Very Limited Quantities.

usmc_fap2.jpg (67361 bytes)

P-1912 USMC Issue First Aid Pouch - The USMC at the start of WW1 had uniforms and equipment that was different from their Army counterparts.  This pouch is the type that was issued to Marines before the war and was in fact in use well into the 1930's.  In fact, the example this was copied from had been issued to a young Marine reservist in 1950!  A nice reproduction in the correct pre 1917 shade green canvas, marked "USMC" and featuring the distinctive hook and eyelet design.

m2_bag.jpg (34650 bytes)

m2_mask.jpg (15806 bytes)

French M-2 Gas Mask - In a general order issued in late 1917, the AEF dictated that all troops were to carry the standard British box respirator and this mask, the French M-2.  Used as a back up mask and for weak concentrations of chemical agents, the M-2 mask was widely used by early arriving Division's (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 26th, 42nd, etc.) and also was ordered attached to every stretcher for casualties with head injuries or lost masks.

Our reproduction features a tan canvas carrying bag with a French military button, and a mask with a "rubberized" face piece and cotton filtering element.

Contrary to what you may have seen on the History Channel's Mail Call, this mask was NOT activated by pissing on it.

Chauchat Magazine Bag - When the AEF went overseas in 1917 and 1918 they went armed only with their 1903 and 1917 rifles.  The French Model 1915 Chauchat Automatic Rifle was issued to them and would be the standard light Automatic of the AEF for the entire war.  Along with the French weapons came French accoutrements.  This is a beautiful reproduction of the bag issued to carry six of the infamous open sided Chauchat magazines.  This bag was carried by the gunner, the assistant, the 2nd assistant and the squad leader of a Chauchat section.  It was also used as a handy musette by many a rank and file doughboy.  Our reproduction features leather trim, ties, belt loops and straps and is made from the correct shade canvas material.

An Automatic Rifle team moves up. September 1918.  The two men in front carry Chauchat magazine bags.

chau_box1.jpg (13553 bytes)

chau_box2.jpg (15324 bytes)

Chauchat Magazine Box - This is maybe one of the rarest WW1 items used by the AEF.  This Magazine box held 10 magazines and was used only by the AEF.  I have to say, this is one of the nicest reproductions I have seen.  Box features all wood construction with internal dividers and spacers, metal reinforced corners, side brackets, and spacers, and a rope handle.  Correctly finished in the proper shade OD paint.

Early Model 1910 Pack - A faithful reproduction of the early Model 1910 Haversack.  This item was widely used in France by early arriving troops, but these are damn hard to find today.  This pack had the early elliptical meat can pouch (which actually laces on!), correct sewn shoulder straps, correct early hard wear (including bent wire hooks), and is made from the proper pre war pea-green color canvas.  A truly beautiful piece of gear.
